UTILITY SHIRT JACKET

A utility shirt jacket inspired by the OG107 shirt-sleeve type from the 1960s.
The volume of the silhouette has been adjusted, and the name tape on the chest is intentionally stitched to the inside, also serving to reinforce the pocket. The material used is an original fabric of fine count cupro ripstop woven at a textile mill in Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. Cupro is a regenerated fiber made from the short fibers surrounding cotton seeds, called cotton linter, which are obtained when cotton is harvested. It is characterized by high moisture absorption. Because its fibers are extremely fine, it is a special fabric that can only be woven in Japan. The natural wrinkles created by washing and processing soften the luster, resulting in a relaxed and gentle texture.

This piece fuses the contrasting features of a sheer material and ripstop, which is used in military, workwear, and outdoor apparel, creating a unique balance.

For the colors, pink is based on madder, khaki uses pomegranate with alum mordant, and sumi-kuro (charcoal black) uses dye extracted from binchotan charcoal, with the product being botanically hybrid dyed.

Recommended as a shirt jacket that can be lightly worn even in summer.

Care instructions for botanical dye products

Dark-colored items may transfer color initially. Avoid coordinating with light-colored items. To enjoy the color fading for a longer period, hand washing with a neutral detergent is recommended.

Wash separately as color may transfer to other items.

Do not use fluorescent agents or bleach.

Hang dry in the shade after washing.

Color may fade in reaction to citrus juice. Rinse immediately if attached.

Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or lighting may cause discoloration. Do not leave in direct sunlight; store in a dark place.
