SAS SHORTS

These shorts are inspired by the details of 1940s BRITISH ARMY / SAS OVER TROUSERS.
The large patch pocket on the left knee is a faithful reproduction of the original design.
As the original model was an over-pant, we re-adjusted the often-monotonous pattern and waist fit, incorporating two pleats and an elastic waistband to achieve a comfortable fit and an exquisitely balanced silhouette.
The material used is a dry-textured dump fabric, woven with high-density, strong twisted yarn.
For finishing, we used "Omi-zarashi," a traditional technique from the Omi region of Shiga, which involves bleaching the fabric with lye and then sun-drying it to bring out natural wrinkles and a soft texture.
The crispness characteristic of strong twisted yarn and its dry feel against the skin ensure comfortable wear even in hot weather. The dyeing is done using botanical dyes derived from plants.

Pink: Madder
Greige: Pomegranate
Sumikuro: Binchotan charcoal

By using natural dyes, the colors have a deep, nuanced quality with variations and irregularities, giving each piece a unique character.

Due to differences in fabric lots, there may be individual variations in how the color appears after post-dyeing. As a result, some products may show slight differences in shade in the inner pocket lining. This does not affect the exterior appearance. To allow you to enjoy this as a unique characteristic of the product, the following message is printed on the pocket lining:
"A touch of luck and shades shaped by different fabric lots—together they form the unique character of this piece."

Handling of Botanical Dyed Products

To ensure the color lasts longer, we recommend hand washing with a neutral detergent.

Colors may transfer to other items, so please wash separately.

Do not use fluorescent brighteners or bleach.

After washing, please dry in the shade.

Colors may fade if they come into contact with citrus juice. If this happens, rinse immediately.

Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or artificial light may cause discoloration. Do not leave in direct sunlight; store in a dark place.
