MONKEY TROUSERS

These trousers are inspired by the "M-44 Monkey Pants" adopted by the US Marine Corps (USMC) in 1944.
While faithfully reproducing original details such as the large flap pockets covering the entire hip, prominent side cargo pockets, and gas flap front opening, the design has been updated for modern wear.
The wide silhouette, with a generous waist and gentle taper, retains the ruggedness of the original while pursuing comfortable wear suitable for urban environments.
The fabric uses original cotton twill that balances moderate thickness with lightness.
The striped jacquard lines add a subtle touch of individuality.
De-sizing and washer processing create a soft, washed-out texture and natural wrinkles.
The dyeing is finished with botanical dyes derived from plants. The use of natural dyes creates deep, nuanced colors with variations and irregularities, giving each piece its own unique character. This item will deepen in character with wear.

Natural: Washed + Tumbled
Beige: Coffee
Khaki: Turmeric
Ink: Sumi (Japanese ink)

Care instructions for botanical dyed products

To enjoy the fading of the color for longer, we recommend hand washing with a neutral detergent.

Colors may transfer to other items, so please wash separately.

Do not use fluorescent brighteners or bleach.

After washing, dry in the shade.

The color may fade when exposed to citrus juice. If this occurs, wash off immediately.

Prolonged exposure to strong sunlight or artificial light may cause discoloration. Do not leave in direct sunlight; store in a dark place.
